How serious is Vladimir Putin about launching a major Ukraine offensive? (ft.com)
Several important questions arise in the risk of the Ukraine-Russia crisis:
Is Putin playing a ‘War-Game’ to achieve his goal, namely NATO without Ukraine and other countries near the border of Russia, or is he ready to invade Ukraine to keep Moscow far from the range of missiles of NATO?
Is Europe in general, and Germany in particular, ready for counter-sanctions by Russia regarding gas and other business trade activities?
Will imposing hard sanctions on Russia lead to ‘War-Sanctions’ between the ‘USA-EU coalition’ and the ‘Russia-China coalition’?
Will Germany keep neutral in case of the Russia-Ukraine war due to the scope of International Trade with Russia?
Could the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) (Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan) give Russia meaningful backup in case of escalation of war between NATO and Russia?
Are small countries of NATO ready for ‘War-sacrifice’ if escalation occurs due to the Russia-Ukraine war?
Did Putin get a ‘Green Light’ from China to invade Ukraine in terms of dealing with Western sanctions and military backup?
Is China interested in the Russia-Ukraine war to takeover Taiwan via military offensive when NATO will be busy with Ukraine?
