03 April 2022 at 15:27. When I think about risks, then first I look at history because history repeats itself. If we look at all the evidence on Earth, even over millions of years, we have no evidence of mass attacks on Earth by aliens. On the contrary, humans live on Earth without any interference by external forces, yet it’s possible that over history rare aliens may have visited Earth but without any further interest in Earth.
In light of that, I asked myself several questions, as follows:
Why have any external forces not tried to invade Earth over history?
Are we alone in a certain area of the galaxy that is very far from other regions that have other forms of intelligent life?
Are we primitive compared to other forms of intelligent life, and because of that we don’t interest them?
I have some suggestions for these questions: First, Earth is not a perfect place despite its beauty because of problems like earthquakes, volcanic activity, Ice Age, problematic weather, big fires, ocean cooling, and repeated mass extinctions due to meteors. Thus, if you are more intelligent than humans, then you will probably understand that it's better to live in other places in the galaxy than on Earth, so you won't put any effort into invading Earth. It's not worth it. Second, with all due respect, we are not so intelligent. Until 5,000 years ago, humans had very limited intelligent life. The development of technology started only in the 18th century when we invented electricity. My speculation is that we are still so primitive compared to other forms of intelligent life in the galaxy that no one cares about what we are doing, like President Biden who doesn't care about what monkeys are doing in the jungle. Third, it's unclear if we are close or far from other forms of intelligent life because our technology is not developed enough. Fourth, here is the bad news. Our brains (grey matter) are getting smaller over our evolution instead of getting bigger. Our 'cousins', the Neanderthals, had brains (grey matter) that were much bigger compared to us, and over their evolution, their brains were getting bigger and not smaller like our brains, but the Neanderthals went extinct like many other animals on Earth, and we don't know why.
Hence, my speculation is that we can continue to sleep well without the fear of invasion by aliens.
