01 April 2022 at 17:52. What does it mean to give a security guarantee to Ukraine? Does it mean military backup if Russia attacks Ukraine again? Which type of military backup – only weapons or also troops that will fight side by side with the Ukraine Army against Russia?
It seems that the new chancellor of Germany may take at once too many risks with the German policy transformation from passive-neutral actor to active military actor. Perhaps, it may be better that France will be the guarantor for Ukraine or another country than Germany. Policy transformation has more likelihood of success when it is done step by step rather than as a dramatic transformation.
