08 September 2022 at 17:25. The social unrest started in Germany due to the increase in living costs, especially due to the energy costs. However, the mega protest in the Czech Republic and the protests in Germany signal the end of silence in the EU about the sanctions against Russia. It seems that until today, the public in the EU has felt uncomfortable opposing the sanctions against Russia, but now, when clearly the sanctions have failed to weaken Russia and have instead backfired on the EU, then the public feels more comfortable publicly opposing the sanctions against Russia. My prediction is that the social unrest in the EU will be escalated in the coming winter, including the opposing wave regarding the sanctions against Russia, which will even lead to the fall of governments in the EU.
