OP088, Cetelem Operation - Fast ICCG Final Bill: Following the Cancellation of Cetelem Credit Card (19.04.2023 at 06:53), a Suspected Fabricated Email was Received in a few hours from Cetelem (19.04.2023 at 09:58) with a demand to Pay until the End of the Day (19.04.2023 at 23:59) the Final Bill, yet without Providing its Details but only its amount (487.33 Euro) - The Suspected Email has no Reference and it did not appear on Cetelem Website, while the Email status did not Change from Not Read to Read and the Cetelem Folder with the Email even Vanished from the Outlook yet the Email Exists, https://www.rozen-bakher.com/iccg-announcements/op088, Residence Location, Portugal, Main Entity, E057, BNP Paribas-Cetelem in Portugal, Portugal, Sub-Entity I, E054, NETIM (Mailbox), France, Sub-Entity II, E012, NOS (Internet, Mobile, Fax, Landline, Cable TV), Portugal, E058,  BNP Paribas-Cetelem HQ,  France,  Sub-Entity IV,  E055,  Microsoft (Outlook),  USA

Highlights

  • Suspected Fabricated Email to Pay at the End of the Day without providing the Final Bill. On 19 April 2023, Dr. Rozen-Bakher send a request to Cetelem to cancel the RP Credit Card amid Cetelem Operation (see OP183), and a few hours later, she got an email with a demand to pay an amount by the end of the day without providing any document of the final bill nor any information that the payment refers to the cancellation of the RP credit card.

  • Fast response within a few hours via the Suspected Fabricated Email compared to a regular long-delay response. Cetelem usually gives responses with a long delay even up to a few months (see table below), such as in the case of the request to change address (20.11.2022 at 17:30), it took 3 months to get First Response from Cetelem (19.02.2023 at 19:45), while in the case of the suspected fabricated email, the email was received within a few hours.

  • No notice about the Suspected Fabricated Email on the Cetelem website. On 23 April 2023, Dr. Rozen-Bakher succeeded for the first time to log-in to her Cetelem account because before it was blocked by ICCG (For Cetelem Operation, see OP183). On the emails page on the Cetelem website, did not appeared the suspected fabricated email, but only an email from 20 April 2023 that confirmed that the Credit Card was cancelled, which was also received in the mailbox of Dr. Rozen-Bakher.

  • No Reference in the Suspected Fabricated Email Compared to Reference (955121) in another Email from Cetelem. Highly likely, that the suspected Fabricated Email was sent by ICCG because other emails from Cetelem look differently (see below). Besides, no reference was given in the suspected Fabricated Email by ICCG compared to reference that was given in another email by Cetelem (see below).

  • No Final Bill amid Cancellation Appeared yet on Cetelem Website. On 23 April 2023, the amount of 487 Euro that appeared in the suspected fabricated email was not appeared on the Cetelem website. On the contrary, on that day, the Cetelem website showed the forthcoming monthly payment on 01 May 2023 without mentioning yet the final bill amid cancellation (see below).

  • The Suspected Fabricated Email did not Change from ‘Not Read’ to ‘Read’ despite many attempts. Cyber-Read Method was repeated in other Fabricated emails namely, when ICCG sent a fabricated email, the status of the email does not change from ‘Not Read’ to ‘Read’ despite many attempts, as happen in this case.

  • The Cetelem Folder that includes the Suspected Fabricated Email was vanished from the Outlook. Amid the Cyber-Read, Dr. Rozen-Bakher moved the suspected Fabricated Email to a new folder ’Cetelem’ in the Outlook. However, after moving the email, the folder ’Cetelem’ that was included the email was vanished from the Outlook under the mailbox of NETIM (zrb@rozen-bakher.pt). Nevertheless, the original email of the Suspected Fabricated Email is still exist because Dr. Rozen-Bakher forwarded this email. Note, the method of vanishing folders in the Outlook under NETIM (zrb@rozen-bakher.pt) was repeated in the last year as in the case of the folder of ‘Academic Position’, yet when Dr. Rozen-Bakher moved new emails to the folder of ‘Academic Position’, then it showed again, but after that, it disappeared again, still, the Vanish-Cycle of the folder ‘Academic Position’ was repeated over a few months until suddenly it stopped disappearing. However, in the case of the ‘Email-Read’ of Cetelem, when Dr. Rozen-Bakher tried to move other emails to the Cetelem Folder, then she got a notice that the Cetelem Folder does not exist despite that it showed on the move emails options, still, after that, the Cetelem Folder even did not appear any more in the move emails options, so it seems that the Cetelem Folder permanently vanished from the Outlook, still, as already mentioned, the original email still exists because Dr. Rozen-Bakher forwarded this email.
