22 September 2022 at 10:17. Serbia is in the middle of the 'NATO SEA', surrounded by many NATO members and far from its allies of CSTO-the Russian military alliance, yet with a border with Hungary, an ally of Russia and China, so Serbia is in a complicated situation, yet not so different from Hungary that it perfectly plays how to sit ´On the Fence´. Still, Serbia did not impose any sanctions against Russia, so Serbia is de-facto part of the Russia-China coalition, despite that Serbia is also a potential partner of the EU. From the military perspective, the location of Serbia is a strategic asset to the East coalition, so my prediction is that, sooner or later, Serbia may join one of the East trade alliances, such as the SCO. Besides, if it starts a war between NATO and Russia, then I have a big doubt if the two members of NATO, Hungary and Turkey, will join the war against Russia. Very likely, they will keep on neutrality.
