EFTA - European Free Trade Association
The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) was signed in 1960, and historically, it was the first regional Free Trade bloc in Europe, but when the EU became the dominant trade bloc after its establishment, most of its funding members left EFTA to become members in the EU (e.g., Portugal, Sweden and the UK), so currently, EFTA includes only four European countries with the prospect to expand the alliance with additional European microstates.
