New Development Bank (NDB) led by BRICS
The New Development Bank (NDB) Led by BRICS is a Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) that aims to create financial alternatives for other MDBs led by the USA and its allies, such as the IMF and World Bank. Thereby, like the IMF, the NDB gives loans and guarantees to promote public and private projects, especially for infrastructure and sustainable development projects in emerging markets and developing countries. It can be argued that the NDB aims to reduce the reliance on the global economic dominance of the USA. NDB has its headquarters in Shanghai, China, but it has additional regional offices, such as in Brazil, India and Russia.
