The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) is a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) among countries from various regions worldwide that was signed in 2018 following the failure of the Free Trade Agreement of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), which was signed in 2016, but never entered into force due to the withdrawal of the USA by President Trump in his first term.
